Educational Care


Proceeding from our belief in the importance of education, RCO strives, through the Education and Health Care Division of the Customer Services Department, to provide beneficiaries with distinct educational services. By doing so, it aims to pave the way of success for the children of RCO so as to contribute to the progress and prosperity of our beloved Kingdom.

Aspects of educational care:

  • Kindergarten.
  • Private schools.
  • University scholarships and grants.
  • Extra lessons for those with low academic achievement.
  • Educational and informative workshops and forums.

Educational care services:

  • Honour outstanding sponsored and non-sponsored orphan students who achieve 90% or higher.
  • Allocate annual scholarships and grants for students sponsored by RCO.
  • Provide free seats in private schools, kindergartens, and universities for students sponsored by RCO.
  • Provide support classes at several institutes for sponsored orphan students with low academic achievement.

Private schools and Kindergartens

This service shall be available according to the following criteria:

  • The candidate is sponsored by RCO.
  • Students are admitted as per the standards and requirements of the educational entity for which they are nominated, noting that the number of seats is limited by the seats reserved for RCO under the Friends of the Orphans - Educational Care project.
  • Priority shall be given to students who have not benefitted from this service before.
  • The proximity of the educational entity to the candidate as well as the financial and educational level of the mother shall be taken into account in the nomination process.

Required documents:

  • As requested by the educational entity.

Scholarships and Grants

Registration requirements for university scholarships and grants:

  • The applicant must be sponsored by RCO.
  • The applicant must be a graduate of the year in which the missions and scholarships are announced.
  • The student's cumulative score must not be less than 80%.
  • The applicant must be of good conduct.
  • The applicant must be admitted by a university accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • The applicant must not have obtained a scholarship or grant from any other entity.

Required documents:

  • Copy of the certificate of the 6th semester of secondary stage.
  • Copy of graduation certificate.
  • Certificate of good conduct.
  • Photograph.
  • Copy of the smart card.
  • Copy of the registration at the university, as no application will be accepted without proof of registration.

Application Method

The beneficiary shall visit RCO headquarters at Seef district and fill out the nomination form and attach the required documents (upon announcement of the registration process).

Support Classes

Admission requirements:

  • The applicant must be sponsored by RCO.
  • The applicant must be registered with only the institutes contracted with RCO.
  • Registration shall be for two subjects per semester, inclusive of a comprehensive revision on the eve of exam.
  • The achieved marks of subjects shall be less than 70% for the intermediate stage and less than 75% for the secondary stage.
  • This service is provided to students in the intermediate and secondary stages only, or as determined by RCO.

Required documents:

  • Copy of school certificate.

Application Method

The beneficiary shall visit RCO headquarters at Seef district during the official working hours and fill out the nomination form (upon announcement of the registration process).
